Obce Znojemského Podhorácka uspořádali mezinárodní setkání s tématem Energie (RENEW)

Znojemské Podhorácko (dále jen ZP) uspořádalo mezinárodní setkání týkající se Energie, energetiky a dostavby jaderné elektrárny Dukovany (Reinforcing the European Network on Energies and reneWables] — RENEW.

Setkání se účastnily zahraniční delegace z  Maďarska, České republiky, Litvy, Polska, Malty, Slovinska a Itálie. Zastoupeny byly města a obce Panevežys, Krško, obce národního parku Buk a okolí Paksu, maltského ostrova Gozo a také z Itálie, oblasti Lazio, městečka Gradoli. Nechyběli ani zástupci ze Slovenska, obce Mokrance.    

Celkem bylo v Jevišovicích a okolí ubytováno několik desítek účastníků, kteří mělo možnost ocenit krásy našeho kraje a městečka a hlavně se seznámit s fungováním jaderné elektrárny Dukovany a plány na její rozvoj.   

Náplň jednání:

• Návštěva Hostěradic – v této obci byla prezentována nová hasičárna včetně nákupu nové CAS, vybudování nového sběrného dvora,
• Návštěva Miroslavi – zde byly prezentovány záměry města spojené s rozvojem školy a školky, dále nová výstavba bytů a domů,
• Návštěva Višňové – představitelé městyse představili své plány spojené s rozvojem městyse, mj. dovybavení jednotky SDH, rozvoj bytové výstavby a další,
• Návštěva Třebíče – kromě návštěvy historického centra byly prezentovány rozvojové plány města.
• Návštěva Petrovic – účastníci obdivovali místní unikátní muzeum a kapli.
• Návštěva města Znojma a setkání s paní místostarostkou B. Beranovou, kdy jsme byli opět informováni o připravenosti města pro rozvoj regionu spojenou s investicí do JED.  

Samostatným bodem jednání byla návštěva JED Dukovany

Zahraniční účastníci měli možnost navštívit nejen návštěvnické centrum JED. Zde jim byla elektrárna klasicky představena, a to od výstavby, fungování a také včetně plánované dostavby. Informační centrum je jedno z nejlépe vybavených v Evropě a to i díky moderním 3D brýlím. Zde se účastníci mohli podívat přímo do reaktoru. 

Velmi důležitým průvodcem zde byl mj. pan starosta Višňové Mgr. Vladimír Korek, předseda sdružení obcí ENERGOREGION.  Je to právě on, díky němuž se toto setkání uskutečnilo v našem regionu.

Díky našim průvodcům, kteří toto setkání připravovali, a to manželům Tomáši a Zuzaně Žákovými a Aleně Hostašové se podařilo domluvit také návštěvu centra výcviku operátorů JED. tento výcvik je velmi intenzivní, trvá několik let a všichni měli možnost si ověřit, že opravdu není nic bráno na lehkou váhu. Byly zde simulovány některé situace, které mohou nastat, a to ať částečný výpadek nebo až po úplný a totální black out.

Hoste měli možnost si ověřit, že naše JED opravdu bezpečná a její rozvoj přinese prospěch celému našemu regionu.

V sobotu 20. října 2025 byla uspořádána konference o energetice v jednotlivých účastnických zemích a  za ČR jsme se věnovali dostavbě Jaderné elektrárny Dukovany, kde vystoupili odborníci z oblasti veřejné správy tak energetiky.

Prezentace za českou stranu přednesli:

Mgr. Vladimír Korek, starosta městyse Višňové a předseda ENERGEROGIONU

• Prezentace se věnovala vztahu JED – Energoregion a obce. Pan starosta zdůraznil vztah obcí a společnosti ČEZ. Obce podporují dostavbu elektrárny, jsou si vědomy nároků na obce, které přinese zatížení regionu.
• Obce se připravují dostavbu a toto podporují.
• Bylo zdůrazněno, že obce budou zejména trvat na bezpečnosti svých občanů a jejím zajištění.
• Partnerům byla prezentována nastavení spolupráce obcí a ČEZ.
• V současné době ČEZ podporuje obce v pásmu 5 a 20 km, je snahou tuto podporu nejen zachovat, ale i rozšířit.         

Ing. Martin Uhlíř - ředitel útvaru Realizace, spouštění a provoz Elektrárna Dukovany II, a. s.

• V prezentaci byl uveden předpokládaný vývoj spotřeby elektrické energie v ČR v kombinaci s výrobními zdroji.
• Dále byl představen projekt výstavby nových jaderných bloků.
• Zhotovitelem nových bloků bude korejská společnost KHNP.
• Účastníci byli seznámeni s harmonogramem výstavby.
• Byla zdůrazněna potřeba nových bloků

Bc. Marek Sovka – náměstek hejtmana Jihomoravského kraje

• Představil Akční plán JMK pro dostavbu JE Dukovany.
• Jedná se o základní kámen, od kterého se budou odvíjet aktivity jako rozvoj zdravotnictví, školství, sociálních služeb, atd.
• Účastníci byli seznámeni s připraveností Jihomoravského kraje pro dostavbu JED.
• Byly představeny finanční možnosti podpory obcí v okolí JED.  

 

Představitelé obcí jak z jižní Moravy tak ze zahraničí měli možnost si ověřit nejen připravenost investice do rozvoje JED. Pro zahraniční obce a jejich představitele bylo hlavně velmi prospěšné vidět spolupráci v následujících oblastech:

1. Zajištění bezpečnosti JED – vybavení jednotek SDH, Policie ČR, zdravotnických zařízení,
2. Zajištění spolehlivého a bezpečného provozu - vybavení a výcvik pracovníků JED
3. Spolupráce obce – JED
4. Spolupráce obcí s Jihomoravským krajem na rozvoji našeho regionu.

RENEW launches its Second International Meeting in Malta to advance Citizen-Led Energy Transition

 

The Second International Event of RENEW – Reinforcing the European Network on Energies and reneWables is set to take place in Ta’ Kercem, Gozo (Malta), from 24 to 27 March 2026, bringing together partners and citizens from across Europe to continue building a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Following the success of the first international event held in Jevišovice (Czech Republic) in October 2025, this new gathering will focus on the theme:

“Transition to Renewables: A Bottom-Up Approach for an Emission-Free Europe.”

The event will welcome delegations from several European countries, including Italy, Malta, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania and Slovenia, involving local authorities, citizens, youth representatives, and civil society organizations. The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation among communities and to highlight the crucial role that citizens play in driving the transition towards clean energy.

At the core of the event is the idea that the European energy transition cannot be achieved without the active participation of citizens at local level. Through conferences, workshops, and study visits, participants will explore how communities can contribute to reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, and promoting renewable energy solutions.

The conference sessions will provide a platform for partners to present local experiences and initiatives, showcasing how bottom-up approaches can support European policies such as the European Green Deal and other key sustainability strategies and EU policies. Special attention will be given to community engagement, inclusion, and the empowerment of young people and women in the energy sector.

In addition to the thematic discussions, the programme will offer participants the opportunity to discover the cultural and social fabric of Gozo, fostering intercultural dialogue and strengthening European cohesion and mutual understanding.

RENEW project, coordinated by Znojemské Podhorácko (Czech Republic), promotes a vision of Europe where citizens are not only informed but actively involved in shaping sustainable and democratic communities.

This second international meeting represents another important step in building a strong transnational network committed to renewable energy, active citizenship, and European values, confirming that the transition to a greener Europe must start from the grassroots level.

RENEW project concludes in Malta: Citizens driving Europe’s energy transition from grassroots level

The second and final international meeting of RENEW (Reinforcing the European Network on Energies and reneWables) successfully took place in Ta’ Kercem, Gozo (Malta), from 24 to 27 March 2026, marking the conclusion of a dynamic and impactful journey of cooperation among European communities.

Following the first event held in Jevišovice (CZ), the Maltese meeting brought together project delegations from Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia and Malta, of course. Participants – including local administrators, experts, engineers, civil society representatives and citizens – shared a common enthusiasm for the results achieved and the strong collaboration built throughout the project.

The event focused on the theme:
“Transition to Renewables: a bottom-up approach for an emission-free Europe”, highlighting the crucial role of local communities and citizen-led action in driving the energy transition.

During the conference and workshop sessions, participants exchanged a wide range of best practices and local experiences related to clean energy transition. The discussions clearly emphasized that real change starts at local level, with small communities playing a decisive role in contributing to the implementation and success of European sustainability policies.

The initiatives presented by the partners covered a broad spectrum of topics, including:

• energy efficiency upgrades for municipal buildings;
• development of urban green infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing energy use and integrating renewable sources, particularly in forest environments;
• sustainable urban mobility solutions, including electric buses and green transport powered by renewable energy;
• participatory budgeting and public consultations as tools for inclusive decision-making;
• community gardens and local sustainability initiatives;
• renewable energy solutions such as solar, wind and photovoltaic systems;
• grid upgrades, energy storage, and innovation in energy infrastructure;
• awareness-raising initiatives such as the “Open Industry Weekend”, allowing citizens to better understand energy production and distribution;
• simplified approaches to understanding and implementing local photovoltaic systems.

Special attention was also given to the local context of Malta and Gozo, which emerged as a particularly interesting case study. Thanks to its size, Gozo can act as a living laboratory for energy transition, demonstrating how local generation, storage, and efficiency can contribute to island-scale resilience. Discussions highlighted the need for increased clean energy production, greater system flexibility, and stronger integration of renewable sources, including opportunities for EU funding in sectors such as agriculture.

The programme also included several study visits and field activities, allowing participants to connect theory with practice. Among these, the visit to Magro Bros. Company in Xewkija showcased how traditional industries such as tomato processing can integrate renewable energy investments. Participants also explored innovative solutions like the Ta’ Xhajma Solar Flowers, as well as the rich cultural and natural heritage of Gozo, including the Ġgantija Temples, Dwejra Bay, the Salt Pans, the Cittadella in Rabat, and the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary.

These experiences reinforced the idea that sustainability, culture, and community are deeply interconnected, and that the energy transition can be both a technological and a social process.

Throughout the event, contributions from engineers, experts, local authorities, and citizens enriched the discussions, creating a truly inclusive and multidisciplinary dialogue.

At the end of the meeting, all delegations expressed great satisfaction with the project, highlighting not only the knowledge gained but also the strong partnerships and friendships built along the way. RENEW has shown that cooperation across borders and sectors is essential to address common European challenges.

As the project comes to a close, its legacy remains clear: an active and connected network of communities committed to renewable energy, democratic participation, and European values. When citizens are empowered and involved, they can truly become the driving force behind Europe’s transition towards a greener, more inclusive, and emission-free future.
