contents of the event and to the topic of the event; Integrational activities and visit to
Vignanello historical center.
DAY 2:
Greetings by the Mayor of Vignanello Mr. Federico Grattarola
Best practices, experiences sharing and problem solving on citizens’ engagement at Liceo
Artistico “Midossi” with the activity “Login...don’t WASTE time” organized by the students.
Visit to the Ecocenter in Vignanello.
Guided tour of the “Connutti” and “Ruspoli Castle”
Biological oil tasting and integrational activities with ProLoco
DAY 3
Seminar on “Techniques for citizens active engagement” at the Town Hall.
Group activity: Problem Family Tree “What prevents citizens participation”
Coffee-storming with local associations and Youth Civil Servants.
Integrational activities and informal meeting with representatives from the Via Amerina and
Forre Biodistrict.
Participation of the delegations in the Flower Festival (flower canvas preparation and
folkloristic activities)
DAY 4
Meeting with Gradoli Town Council, Greetings by the Mayor Mr. Attilio Mancini.
Workshop: “Presentation of best practices in citizens engagement activities”. Meeting with
Ideal Service representatives “Waste Sorting management and Citizens Responsibility”,
exchange of opinions about citizens focused waste sorting.
Visit to “Palazzo Farnese” and “Historical costumes museum”, integrational activities at the
Bolsena lake.
Day 5
Theme based visit to Rome: a city of Green Spaces. Integrational activities and cultural tour.
Seminar: “Eu funding programs”
Day 6
Operative meeting to plan the Fifth International Event. Gift Exchange and greetings
ceremony. Departure of delegations.

The activities achieved the following results:
- establish a network of municipalities and towns from different EU regions to work on a
long-term basis;
- direct engagement of citizens on the debate on environmental issues and promotion of
volunteering and civic engagement and participation;
- practices and know-how across borders at a grassroots level have been exchanged and
discussed;
- debate on the relevance of recycling and waste reduction for the society and the Future of
Europe has been positively triggered;
- hard-to-reach groups have been made aware of their role in supporting a sustainable
future for their communities;
- citizens and council representatives have actively debated and considered the obstacles to
citizens engagement in waste management and discussed solutions.
- a common sense of responsibility and ownership of environmental issues and of EU policies and
actions in the field has been promoted.
