DAY 1:
Arrival of the delegations, meeting with the local citizens and volunteers, introduction to the contents of
the event and to the WASTE Project; Integrational activities and visit to Jablonna park and castle.
DAY 2:
Seminar to introduce the topic of the Environment Action Programme 2030; Team Building games
training with Prof. Juliusz Tyszka; Visit to the Primary School “Stefan Krasinski” in Chotomów
settlement for a “World cleaning action”; visit to Jabłonna’s Waste Collection Point and presentation of
plans for its innovation; visit to the Forester Center in Skierdy and presentation of the work done for
forests preservation. Integrational activities and Gala dinner at Jablonna Castle.
DAY 3
Workshop for the exchange of best practices on local policies and citizens initiatives. Meeting with
local stakeholders and policy makers (Director of Jablonna’s Leroy Merlin).
DAY 4
Target Tree Workshop and project’s topics led by Mrs. Urszula Herbich. Integrational activities in the
Skierdy Culture Center and cultural workshop on Polish Easter tradition: re-use and traditional crafts
with Jablonna’s citizens.
Day 5
Theme based visit to Warsaw: environment management and green spaces in the city. Integrational
activities and guided tour.
Day 6
Operative meeting to plan the Second International Event. Gift Exchange and greetings ceremony.
Departure of delegations.
The activities achieved the following results:
- Transfer to the participants key strategies related to this Launch Event and to WASTE;
- Presentation of the Project activities and goals to be reached;
- Coordination between the Teams during the the Operative meeting;
- Wide participation of the local citizenship, especially of the disadvantaged groups and of those who
reject the idea of EU or put in question its outright and achievements;
- Reliable information about EU policies transferred to the citizens.
-Boost democratic and active civic participation at local and European level;
-Good practices exchange and cross-fertilization of actions;
- Team building, problem solving and group work for the practical engagement of participants;
-Direct meeting with local authorities and enhancement of knowledge about the functioning of the
environment policies sector in Poland;
-Foster a sense of European citizenship through integrational activities;
- Cultural visit to get acquainted with local history and cultural diversity;
